Respected American Historian
An award-winning expert in multiple fields of American history and the author of more than 30 books, Phillip Thomas Tucker earned his PhD from Saint Louis University in 1990. Shortly before graduating, he embarked on a more than 20-year career as a historical researcher and writer with the United States Department of Defense (DoD), including at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Both before and while working as a professional historian for the DoD, Phillip Thomas Tucker authored many books and made them available to the general public through various publishing houses across the United States. Much of this work involved the history of Irish Americans and African Americans, both men and women, and key turning point moments in American history.
Since parting ways with the DoD to accept greater challenges in other fields of endeavor, Dr. Tucker has devoted more time to his writing, producing titles such as Father of the Tuskegee Airmen - John C. Robinson and Anne Bonny the Infamous Female Pirate. His most recent work takes a close look at founding father Alexander Hamilton before his well-known contributions as the United States’ first secretary of the treasury. Skyhorse Publishing, New York City, released Alexander Hamilton's Revolution - His Vital Role as Washington's Chief of Staff in August of 2017.
